Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of VerdelShot, a macOS application published by DozaOrg (Bernardo Dozal, Mexico). By downloading or using it you accept these conditions.

What VerdelShot is

VerdelShot is an app for taking screenshots, annotating them, and copying or saving them. It has a free version and a Pro version unlocked with a one-time license.

License to use

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use VerdelShot. Each Pro license works on one Mac at a time: you can deactivate it on one computer and activate it on another (up to three computer changes every 30 days), and activation requires an internet connection. You may not resell, rent, decompile, or redistribute the app, or share your license key with others.

Free version and Pro trial

The free version never expires. When you first install the app, the Pro features are unlocked for a 14-day trial; when it ends, the app keeps working as the free version.

Pro license

The Pro license is a one-time purchase. It is perpetual for versions released within its update period, which is one year from purchase. Versions released after that period require renewing the license; the version you already have installed keeps working indefinitely.

Purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider that acts as the merchant of record and issues the invoice or receipt.

Responsible use

You are responsible for the content you capture and for how you use and share it. VerdelShot is only a tool: DozaOrg doesn't see your screenshots, doesn't control what you do with them, and is not responsible for how you use the app or for the consequences of that use.

You agree to use VerdelShot lawfully. In particular, you must not use it to capture, store or distribute information about other people or an organization without the right or authorization to do so, copyrighted content without permission, or confidential information against the policies of your employer, school or clients. Complying with the laws and rules that apply to you is your responsibility.

VerdelShot includes tools to hide information (such as pixelation), but we don't guarantee that hidden content is unrecoverable in every case; for highly sensitive data, crop or remove that part of the screenshot. Checking that a screenshot contains nothing you shouldn't share is your responsibility. Text recognition (OCR) and scrolling capture can make mistakes: review the result before relying on it.

Warranty and liability

VerdelShot is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to make it work well, but we don't guarantee that it is free of errors, compatible with every setup, or that its results are accurate or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, DozaOrg is not liable for direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from the use, misuse or inability to use the app, including — among others — loss of data or screenshots, disclosure of information contained in a screenshot, or third-party claims about content you capture or share. If a third party makes a claim against DozaOrg because of how you used the app, you are the one answerable for that use. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Nothing here limits any rights that consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll note it on this page and in the app. The date of the last update appears above.
